How about a quick "meet and greet" at NAMM.

Friday at noon at the Samick booth.

Anybody interested?

One of these days I'll wangle a press pass and wander through the piano areas. Don't worry, I won't spill cokes in the Bechsteins or bend the ear of the Mr. Sauter about irrelevancies. ;\)

Steve:

I will be there anyway, meeting the dealers from my new territory and hopefully writing orders.

Samick has agreed to sponsor the program nationwide. We should be able to get over 1000 pianos into the country's public schools at no cost to the schools!

That's why I'll be working in the Samick booth.

BTW, it would also work in Canada! ;\)

You personally guarantee that we will get paid for the pianos and I will see that they get shipped. OK?

I've been to the Musikmesse numerous times, but never the NAMM. How do they compare? Is it worth it for a teacher to attend?

Not a problem.
I'm sure if the cc is a problem, he can provide a bank check. In fact, it will be for more than the total purchase, but that's ok.
Just send him the difference (and the pianos).

I'm sure it's fine

[BTW, that's an actual email I received today, I didn't make it up.]

There are a number of similar scams out there, mostly involving selling grand pianos to supposed churches in some African country, to be paid in advance by certified check and/or credit card. I just tell them to show up in person and bring cash, and I will be happy to make the deal.

capuccino for Forum members at the Bosendorfer room (208B) anytime on Sunday. Sorry, but before then we're concentrating on dealers.

Please stop by anytime, Frank. Same to any forum members leaving before Sunday. Piano lovers are always welcome...it's just easier to welcome you later in the show.

This is also extended to competitors, with a couple trash talking exceptions...You know who you are!!

Hi Steve and all,
I would love to meet with you and some forumites and others if possible.
I don't know just how free I will be so I will extend an invite to you and any forum members to say "Hi" at our booth also.
I would much rather meet you Steve at the Samick booth being an old dealer but time...
Maybe you can get away to say Hi at my booth #443?
Let's all have a great show and make 2007 the year of the Return of the Piano.
