This also is a quite large image. There is at least one other Chickering grand on the property but it doesn't read "F. Liszt" on the fall board.

Michael,

As I understand it (and I could be wrong). Chickering gave two concert grand pianos to Liszt and he sent them to a concert venue in town. Liszt apparently taught on two Bosendorfer pianos there in his studio.

Again I could be wrong. Anyone confirm or deny??

Hi Rich,

You and Karl are correct. This photo here was taken in Budapest. So maybe that leaves just the Ibach upright and the Bechstein concert grand in Weimar, with a smaller Bechstein, too, in another room? I didn't know there were two Bösendorfers there. Maybe someone can confirm this.

Maybe this is one of the Bösendorfers? The wall paper is similar or the same to that of the room with the smaller Bechstein grand.

I think you should resize the photos. They don't really need to be such high resolution. People opening the thread on tablets, phones and expensive mobile data plans will be all be grateful!

Quite right! Us non-users of portable communication devices sometimes forget about these considerations. wink
