For those who play on a stage piano + monitors at home,

Don't you feel disconnected by the lack of vibrations in your fingers?

Thanks for your opinion,

SK

One thing to remember is that many people who play digitals are using headphones for a lot of their playing time. Sometimes this is for practical reasons, but very often, (taking comments on this forum as a measure) it is because you get the best sound through headphones. Only top end DPs or costly external monitors will rival the quality of sound over a pair of reasonable - but not very expensive - phones (around a hundred € / $).

And when you are playing through headphones, there is no vibration through the piano keys, which in any case is just a side effect of acoustic piano construction, not a feature, as such.

Even though when I got my DP I was pleased that the body of the piano and they keys did vibrate somewhat like an acoustic, it doesn't bother me one way or the other unless I actually think about it, which would distract me from playing.

Cranking up the volume to max. will kick in some vibrations.
