cool, thanks!
I also think it's LVB

But it raises more questions

Why are there 3 black scratches over his desk?

Why are all the curtains there?

What's the baroque thing on the round table, half hidden behind the curtains?

Does he wear a hairpiece?

The chair he sits on with the armrests and backrest seems adjutable height smile

It may well be Beethoven.
I don't see "three black scratches".
The curtains were part of 19th century decorating "musts". It could well be that the curtains in the foreground (i.e. not those on the windows) were to close off the viewed section of the room from the rest of the room behind the camera.
He was always shown with long hair, parted in the middle from his youth to old age. I've never heard that he wore a hairpiece.
Why do you think the chair is adjustable? It looks like a fairly typical desk chair of the period.

Edit : the modern colour photograph posted while I was writing this post shows the curtains as room dividers.

Regards,

These are fantastic images. Where exactly is this room, Weimar? Budapest?

Because I see a screw thread under his seat and the legs don't seem to run up all the way to his seat

The colors are quite different from what I imagined from that B&W photo. Are these the original colors?

But they don't show what a messy guy he was. smile

Will do some R&B for a while. Give the classical a break.
