Now I´ve set up Ivory ACD on a "new" refurbished desktop pc
with following specs:

win7 64bit
i5 4x3,1 Ghz
4Gb ram
256 GB SSD (samsung 850 evo)
Edirol UA25EX audio interface (with ASIO4ALL drivers)

I can play it via my MP11 with a buffer of 90 samples and a latency
of 2 ms!

I set the MP11 touch curve to "normal" and made the velocity settings in Ivory.
Yeehah, it works great.

The ACD sounds more natural to me than the internal kawai samples,
because it has some nice bellish overtones and the bass isn´t that boomy.
There (I think) isn´t the right tonal balance between left and right hand @MP11..
Plus the pedalling is ten times easier now, exactly like written a little above.

I didn´t want to go the software route, but the effort and cost was worth it!

It´s a nice and decent piano sound which I could not create with the Vtech.
The MP11´s mellow grand sounds beautiful, but the short sustain kills it -
even when it´s lengthened in the menu.
Have a good pianoplaying time.

P

my 2 cents :
with my previous DPs (Clavia Nordstage 88, Roland RD700GX and FP7F), I invested in software pianos, because I wasn't satisfied with the DP's internal acoustic piano sounds, even after tweaking.

First I bought Pianoteq (have 5 now), then Synthogy Ivory II Grand Pianos then Galaxy Vintage D. Was never totally satisfied with these software pianos - that's why I bought different ones, hoping it'll be better - and it was a hassle to gig with : had to take besides the DP + stand + PA a laptop + soundcard + other cables and it added to the setup time.

Since I have the Mp11, I don't feel the need to use it as a controller with software piano, as I'm really satisfied with its acoustic piano sounds and connection keyboard/sound. I never connected it to a laptop for piano sounds, I'm thinking of uninstalling Ivory & Vintage D as they take many room in my SSD...
