At first you sounded interesting, but now I have deciphered your “smoke and mirrors” I wonder if we are right for each other. I find it hard to play you but not hard enough to warrant all the effort and I feel terrible for saying this but your voice grates on me now. Yes I have been seeing other pieces but you started it. You allowed yourself to be virtually sight read in the 40 Piece Challenge Club but told me I would have to court you for months before giving anything away. “Yes” of course we can still be friends, I will still come and visit you but I think it is for the best if we move on.

Huh? Is this a response to attempt to join the 40 pieces a year club?

Sometimes a break up is the only reasonable outcome, if both parties just suffer from the relationship. I tried to part as friends with my last one, but it isn't easy, when you have been subjcected to physical injury

I admit to being somewhat flighty. Unless there's an immediate attraction, I do tend to lose interest. Of course if I see someone else playing with you wonderfully, then sometimes I do get curious and try to patch things up and make a come-back.

I stayed with you until the Schumann recital. There were problems all along, but I really tried to make it work. Now it is time to say goodbye....

We had some good times you and I but it's time for both of us to move on. We'll keep in touch though.
