We have a full size upright Kimball piano that was purchased a few years ago from the family who originally had it shipped to Seattle. There was confusion since the original owner had died, but the family thought it was in the early 1900s. We haven't been able to find the serial number series (22450) and would love to date the piano more exactly. According to The Blue Book of Pianos, it looks like about 1910.

So do you add a zero to the end of the number? No, sorry, I misread the number. Go with BDB's date. His source is more accurate. Your serial number is older than what shows on the page I linked to.
