We have a full size upright Kimball piano that was purchased a few years ago from the family who originally had it shipped to Seattle. There was confusion since the original owner had died, but the family thought it was in the early 1900s.

We haven't been able to find the serial number series (22450) and would love to date the piano more exactly. Can anyone help?

According to The Blue Book of Pianos, it looks like about 1910.

I guess if you really want to date a Kimball successfully, you need to master the "French Lick"...

No, sorry, I misread the number. Go with BDB's date. His source is more accurate. Your serial number is older than what shows on the page I linked to.
