I've got to show my ignorance:

. . . What does "Dyno" mean, when added to the name of a synth sound --

. . . "Dyno EP" ? "Dyno Rhodes" ?

There's got to be a history there, and I don't know it.

Thanks --

. Charles

In general, the dyno- prefix refers to force.

Does it mean likewise when used as a synth prefix?

I say no. The name of a synth, and many other products, is fictitious. It is meant to persuade (or deceive). It means to say something when it actually says nothing. Ignore it.

Thanks!

A whole new area to research!

And Lounge Lizard might be just the right tool . . .
