What do we know about this? And if that somehow could be applied in our everyday life? Another words if mental practicing is the key to solve problems in a musical world, can it also be a key to create the life we want? smile I find it very inspiring, guys

Luckily, we also have the ability to use our imagination to move away from bad results, and this is exactly how I teach people to project calm, assertive energy. If you don’t think you can be calm and assertive, then imagine yourself as someone who is — a fictional character or a real-life hero — and take on the posture and attitude of that character. Dream success with your dogs, then imagine that dream while you’re with your dogs, and see how quickly your energy changes into action and becomes reality.

The mind moves, the body follows. Isn't it all mental practice?

Yes, yes smile
Whatever image we have about ourselves the same things we attract in our lives. The way we perceive the reality is the mirror of ourselves.

So, what is the image of music and performance we really have? How much is in our heads and imagination about the piece we are playing? If we close our eyes and imagine the music we play what would we really could hear and imagine? Every single note and voice? Every single harmony, dynamics, voicing? Or just a blurry pattern of the melody line?

I was inspired to talk about mindset of majority of pianists in this video. I wanna share it with you coz maybe there is someone who needs to hear it. There are excellent excercises starting around 14 minute that every pianist should make at least once in life.
