If anyone wants to have a go at it, here is a piano-only early demo. It's far too much for my current skill level but I do hope that I will one day be able to play it too.

And just for the record, below is the vocal version

Other than that, I listen to many kinds of music, but for the most part it's instrumental film/videogame soundtracks, lots and lots of trailer music, sometimes also epic/cinematic/symphonic rock and even ambient/downtempo when the mood strikes me.

Gw2 was pretty fun but the first was of so much fun when it came out laugh

I played this song the day my first daughter was born. It's still "our song" and now, instead of having it played at her wedding, I might even be able to play it myself.

I Will Take You Home
and the studio version if you are so inclined.

It will come as no surprise to anybody here that I have been listening to Einaudi's new album, The Taranta Project. It represents quite a departure from his usual work; it's not piano-centric but rather a fusion of various world music styles/instruments and lots of vocals, including an absolutely lovely song set to "Nuvole Bianche." I think of it as "Diario Mali meets the edgier pieces from Nightbook and In a Time Lapse." laugh Here's a sample.

I have been enjoying the music, and Yoko Miwa's 1940s getup.

Best wishes-

This I Dig of You with Wynton Kelly and Hank Mobley. Amazing solo. Heard it yesterday on the local jazz radio, and keep playing it.

Last night I listened to the Minnesota Orchestra play Brahms' Piano Concerto 1 (with Garrick Ohlsson at the piano) and Beethoven's 7th Symphony. Remarkable concert.

Not so "piano" focused, but certainly a treat for anyone interested in music history.

This Aint No Mouse Music Who better to provide Americans with an intro to the roots music of their nation than a German-born count who fled Europe in the wake of World War II?

"...a great film about American roots music and a great "song catcher" named Chris Strachwitz who has recorded so much of our heritage which would have been lost. Many of our favorite musicians idolize Chris and have been influenced in their own careers...I'm thinking of Ry Cooder, Bonnie Raitt, The Rolling Stones, and many more. Do not miss this movie!"

A lack of talent does not stop you from learning piano. It just takes longer and you have to work harder.

I picked up a remastered 1971 recording, now on cd, of Bob Milne playing ragtime, so that's my in-car accompaniment right now. God bless the thrift stores!

I listened to Daniel Barenboim playing Beethoven's Appasionata, Moonlight, and Pathetique sonatas. I had never listened to Barenboim before. I like his interpretation of these pieces. I also listened to Glenn Gould playing Bach's keyboard concerto No.4. Awesome.
