Has someone talked to UnderConstruction to explain the situation? Should a Cycle 6 be opened, since we have now filled Cycle 5 and still have more people with interest?

I think it would be friendlier to attract people to join in if we don't describe mistakes as "illegal".

We've filled Cycle 4 and have one slot open in Cycle 3. I will open a Cycle 5 when the last slot from Cycle 3 is filled, or perhaps when the second tune makes its way a bit further around Cycle 1.

Poly, I don't think it's fair to 'hold up' opening cycle 5 (assuming it's regular) to wait for cycle 3 to finich, as that on is a claim cycle, and not everybody might want to join that. I think it may be seen as a somewhat 'under pressure' cycle laugh

He told me he didn't think he'd be able to continue writing them.

Greener, Rerun, are you around?

I'm bombed for today. And won't be doing any more cycles tonight. So, if you guys want to go ahead in front of me, I can move to the end. Or I can pass, whatever suits everyone else. Don't want to hold up the line if you are eager to get started.

Why would there be a limitation on key signature?

Be my guest! (didn't someone already do 'F' - maybe that was Nikolas)

It's a pity that cycle 3 has stalled. Hopefully when, if, greater numbers are involved then we'll get more interest in the CLAIMS.

Because it (supposedly) makes the exercises easier when they are in C.

I don't think anyone's done F, but I'll be the first to deviate from C. I'll let the key remain a surprise. laugh

CYCLE 5 is now open.

Recommended metronome marking - 144.

To my ear, one of the two I did definitely had a tonality of F major but finishing in C major. Perhaps it was intended to be in C all the way through.

I'm very happy for the key to be a surprise. (And to have tunes that change key, or have no key, or do other surprising or unusual things about their note choices, although those things have to be factored into how they affect the difficulty level.)

For me, being told the key short-circuits a bunch of the things I want to learn how to figure out by ear.

Others may prefer differently though.

What's left of rerun is now around smile ... long day. Jeff PMed me earlier that his day was scheduled up too. Still haven't heard back from Poly if my recording glitches have been cured, but if not why don't one of you guys finish the harder tune off for the good of all.

The recording you sent me is fine. I'm waiting until the other one comes around before airing them both, along with scores (if that's something people want).

Yes, Thank you, Rerun. I have received file (cycle 1 V2) from Jytte, but just got in and will be out again in another 10 minutes, or so. Tonight is booked I'm sorry to report. Hope ok to wait until tomorrow. I can always pass along if preferred.

Any claims for 3 yet that I may have missed? It is a good one smile and I believe will be final leg.
