Hi,

I've had a look at different entry-level digital pianos (and my hands on them), in particular the Casio Privia PX-760. I was wondering about its half-damper sustain pedal: does it have three levels of sensitivity (on/half/off or 0, 64, 127) or is it a simulated continuous pedal (0,1,2,...,127)? What about other similarly priced models such as Celviano 260, Yamaha P115, Kawai ES100, Roland F20?

PS: If you feel like also answering the question "do we really need a 'continuous' sustain pedal during the first years of a piano journey?", you're welcome to contribute as well although it's a much deeper question, I guess.

Not only does this not belong in the FAQ section, it does not belong in an acoustic piano area. Ask in the digital piano area.
