Congratulations David on your piano! I was wondering whatever happened in your search - I'm glad you have a piano you love. It makes such a difference doesn't it?

My Fandrich & Sons grand (6'1") also started out as a Dongbei, to which the Fandrichs modified and improved everything. I absolutely love the piano!

Enjoy your new toy, and don't forget to eat and sleep! laugh

Must see pictures!

David:

Congratulations on your new grand piano! What a cool story. I'd like to see photos, too. And Keith is a good guy to have purchased from. So, tell us - - - what kind of tonal quality does it have? Does it sound comparable to any other piano - or, rather, which other piano would you say it sounds most like? (I know it's not going to sound *exactly* like some other piano, but please *try* - I'm probably not the only one interested.)

I'm curious!! Sounds like you got a great deal! smile Many happy years playing your new piano!

Jeanne W

Let's see if I can get these pictures to work. Sorry for the delay. Things are going crazy in the Cobra world.

ARRGHHHHHH!

OK, how do I upload images on this site? The "image" button asks for a url. Do I need to upload the messages first to the web and then point to them, or can I just upload directly from my computer to the forum?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Pictures taken and waiting to be uploaded.

Yes, Tweeking chineese pianos is a lot more efective than tweeking korean pianos. We sell a modified chineese instrument with german bass strings and hammers and a whole lot of prep work done at the factory. I spend 1/4 the effort getting them ready for sale, and they are awesome for the price. Things are changing and I like where they are going.... thumb

Guys,

Sorry, either the upload is broken or I am. I have uploaded my first picture to PW and it asks for "File Information" What on earth is that? I did all of the correct "browse" and email address and such, but I have no idea what "File Information" is.

Anyway, I submitted the photo and it takes me to a page, "Piano World Forum Search for Submitters" and my name is not on the list. The directions said it would automatically take me to a page that would give me a URL.

I really am not that computer dumb, but this one has me.

Waiting to upload pictures of the Maestoso serial #2

Dave,

The instructions about taking you to a page that would give you the URL are ... wrong! But you should have received an email that contains the URL.

I will try to upload more pictures during the day. I have a customer coming in from California, so I just had to sneak this one in.

OK,

How do I resize this thing so it looks normal?

I uploaded the photo at about 100K so I didn't think it was too large. ???

Dave,

Nice piano....at least as much as I can see of it! (It lost its right bootie...)

Try IrfanView (it's free!) at http://www.download.com/IrfanView/3000-2192_4-10335353.html?tag=lst-0-1

Someone else recommended it, and I used it to reduce the size of my photos to an acceptable size.

Resize each photo so that it's no more than 450 pixels wide; keep the same width-to-height proportion as the original. Save as a "jpeg" (or "jpg") file. The size was Frank's suggestion; it ensures that the picture is small enough to avoid scrolling sideways to see the entire photo.

And another shot of Mom testing it out on the first day. She has been playing the piano in our church for 55 years. She loves the piano. She loves the deep bass.

Here is a picture of the front of the piano. The view I mostly see!

LOOK AT ALL THE FINGERPRINTS AFTER JUST 1 DAY!!! My kids are so happy I can't even get a turn. I wake up in the morning and hear the piano playing and when I come home I hear the piano playing. I have to wake up early just to be able to play! The piano is playing during breakfast and dinner. Then I play again every night after they go to bed...if my WIFE isn't on the piano!

THANK YOU KEITH!!!

ps Keith, what sort of a warranty do I get on worn out hammers! eek [Linked Image]
