This is a bit annoying. Doesn't affect the playing but the A3 key has developed a bouncy rattle after its released.

I say turn up the volume and you won't notice it.

I have been repainting my piano room the past 3-4 days, so my DP has been crammed into the living room. I don't have speakers set up, and I don't happen to have headphones with me, only earbuds. Well, I was exhausted last night so I didn't even bother with the earbuds so turning it on was pointless. I noticed quite a lot of sounds that when playing with speakers I never heard before. Mostly, it doesn't bother me.

I used to be mesmerized by the sound of the action on acoustic pianos when I would play scales and I would use that to gauge how evenly I was playing. Those extra sounds are all a part of playing an instrument. Unless it's affecting the feel, I say there's nothing wrong with it smile

Larry, My AP-450 does that on some keys as well, it is just over a year old, I'd say probably key noise ( rattle ) increased a little on some keys in that time, but some keys did it a bit right from the beginning anyway.

As Morodiene says, I don't feel it has affected the feel/response/ action in anyway on mine so far, so I don't worry about it.

If the noise is annoying, turn up the piano, I have it on about 3/4 when I play the 450 acoustically, it drowns out key noises pretty well then. Alternatively any sealed closed black headphones I find I can't hear it all anyway (if you have neighbours that don't like it ).

Trouble is its in the living room so if I plug headphones in everyone else hears the keys thunking. And now they get a dooing sound as well, lol. And its louder than it sounds in the video. Casio, noisy action compared to Yamaha or Kawai?

I disagree; in fact loose/noisy keys are why I won't buy a Casio in the first place...and clearly it's bugging Larry...

g/l Larry - I don't know if there's anything some technician can do-? Might not be worth the cost though.

I own a Kawai MP11 that I was speaking about with regards to playing without sound. Every action is noisy, and some unevenly. Sometimes it's an issue, but in the case of the video provided, it doesn't sound abnormal to me.
