You all look fabulous. Miss you guys!
Oh, and so nice to meet earlofmar, Wisebuff, and G-major thumb

I have been fighting with the picture upload software. I think I have to do this in small batches!

Here we go...

The mountain, Pilatus, as seen from the old town walls:

[Linked Image]

At dinner on Friday: Wisebuff and Mr. Wisebuff

[Linked Image]

Still at dinner: SwissMS, G-major (formerly known as Mr. SwissMs) and patH

[Linked Image]

The whole gang:
left side front to back
SwissMs, G-major, patH, Wisebuff, Mr. Wisebuff
right side front to back, EarlofMar, Casinitaly, Mr. Casinitaly, UKIkarus

[Linked Image]

Party day:
Wisebuff and Mr. Casinitaly ---- they coordinated their wardrobe? Amazing!
[Linked Image]

Arriving at the peak
[Linked Image]

SwissMs reading an email sent to us from CarlosCC --- Carlos, we thought and spoke of you often during the weekend - you were certainly with us in spirit!
[Linked Image]

SwissMs Opens the party with "Over the Rainbow" .
[Linked Image]

UkIkarus - a master of improvisation!
[Linked Image]

patH: I believe this was a Schubert piece - full of energy and very dynamic! (as are most of the pieces we have had the pleasure of hearing from him!)

[Linked Image]

Earlofmar, giving us a bit of Satie
[Linked Image]

Wisebuff: forgive me, I can't remember what the music was, but it was lovely!
[Linked Image]

Casinitaly (me)... I think I was working to get through my Clementi here.
[Linked Image]

G-major: A very brave beginner - who played beautifully. I believe this lovely arpeggio-style piece was called "Clouds".
[Linked Image]

an appreciative audience!
[Linked Image]

I have a few more, but I am not sure how many pics I can put in one post...

After the party on the mountain......

Enjoying the ride down - Mr. Casinitaly and EarlofMar

Enjoying some refreshments : left: Mr. Casinitaly,CasinItaly, Right: Earlof Mar, Mr. Wisebuff, Wisebuff

Dinner along the canal again, with the whole group. I don't think we stopped talking at all, except during (some of) the piano performances. (It should be noted that at times we were encouraged to talk during someone's performance! )
[Linked Image]

patH and EarlofMar
[Linked Image]

Mr. Wisebuff and G-major
[Linked Image]

The gang. By now you know who is who, right?
[Linked Image]

On the last day we went for a brunch cruise on Lake Lucerne, it was wonderful (well, really, what WASN'T wonderful on this trip???)

"Our" mountain, as seen from the boat
[Linked Image]

UKIkarus enjoying the boat ride!
[Linked Image]

Wisebuff and Mr., UKIkarus and SwissMS
[Linked Image]

EarlofMar, G-major, Mr. Casinitaly
[Linked Image]

And that's about it!

Our great thanks to SwissMs and G-major for the time and energy they dedicated to this weekend, and their generosity in going the extra (vertical) mile, to get that piano up the mountain.
I can not imagine how it could have been a happier time.

It was wonderful to meet those we've come to know at previous parties and get togethers, and to finally meet others we've been talking with for years now.

Back in Germany, where they have something I didn't find in Switzerland: Trains that run late, and have non-working air conditioning. wink But I got home safely.

Thanks again to SwissMS and G-major for making this event possible, and thanks to those who provided pictures!
I have one of the cog train.

Question about the videos: Will they be uploaded here, or only on request per PM? Sometimes I like to post videos of my playing on my YouTube and facebook account.
I'm narcissistic that way. grin

Thanks for sharing, patH!

I think you can upload the videos for your YouTube channel and then, share the link over here.

I am in the process of uploading the videos to Youtube - but they will all be unlisted. I will send a link via pm to each participant for their recordings. I also have a video of everyone singing Over the Rainbow that I would like to post here, plus I would like to make a video of short clips of everyone's playing. Would that be OK with everyone??

I finally have some video available. Here is a medley of the players, followed by the group singing "Over the Rainbow as the finale to the party. I had a fantastic time hosting this party, and can't wait for EPP 2016!

Yes, Italy in 2016.

The precise location has not been settled, but given that the active Italy based members are all in the north, it is a safe bet that the party will be in one of our towns.

We will be chatting about it in PMs - probably not til the dust has settled from this party smile and then we'll make an announcement as to the exact location.

For anyone interested, the date is always the first weekend in July, so next year's party will be on 2 July. Most folks arrive on the Friday and leave on the Sunday or Monday.

Well, it's understandable that I won't be able to commit to anything right now, but count me on the VERY interested members list! wink
