Any word on whether it will be a new tour based on Elements, or the Time Lapse tour?

I believe it's based on "Elements"!
I also know that he will be in Portugal - Lisbon, mid April wink

I think this video belongs to this thread.
"Night" from the new album "Elements", by Einaudi:

It most definitely does, Carlos! It is such a beautiful piece. I really like it. heart

I've been trying to play it, and it's very hard. But I play the parts I can and wait not-so-patiently for the release of the rest of the album and sheet music.

Hard to play as usual, Monica.
I've been watching some videos on YT played by some guys and, sincerely, I don't think they are playing "NighT"... They are only pressing the right(?) keys to produce the right(?) chords and notes, but that's not what Einaudi's music is about. At least, this is what I think.

I'm not in the "playing phase" yet; I'm just listening this piece once a while trying to understand the spirit behind it. Then, I will try to play it.

While we're on the topic of recent Einaudi projects, has anyone heard anything further about his film 'Between Space and Silence'? I've been watching out for it as patiently as possible but no news so far - on this side of the world at least.

MarieJ, according to IMDB website, the actual status of the movie is: Post-production

And they add a Plot Summary:

"Between Space and Silence is a feature-length documentary on composer and pianist Ludovico Einaudi. Several years in the making, and featuring footage shot on five continents, the film is an in-depth look at Ludovico's life and career, exploring his roots, inspirations and influences. This colourful journey takes us from a packed Royal Albert Hall in London to a riverboat in Bangkok via a bomb-scarred Beirut among many other locations. Running as a thread throughout is an intimate solo performance captured at London's Cadogan Hall. Offering exclusive footage from Ludovico's personal archives, the film explores the man behind the music through his own words and those of his friends and colleagues including some of the biggest names in world music. This openness to different musical cultures and traditions is powerfully evidenced by the spellbinding throb of Puglia's Taranta Festival, his sensitive collaboration with Mali's Ballaké Sissoko or with the deeply spiritual alchemy of the sound of Turkey's Mercan Dede. Made with the full co-operation of Ludovico and his management, the film features never-before-seen performances gained from unprecedented access to this understated artist who has captured the imagination of audiences around the world."

Sounds good! thumb

I've been trying to play Night by ear.
And this is what I can play, so far:

Monica? Carlos? Did you see that the sheet music for 'Night' is now available? Have a look at http://www.sheetmusicdirect.com/se/ID_No/121797/Product.aspx

I can't decide whether to buy it now or wait for the full 'Elements' album - I'm not very patient so I invariably end up with both ... wink

I'm going to wait for the book... he's usually very good about having the sheet music collection come out around the same time as the album. And we don't have much more time to wait at all for that!

I just got back from a road trip, so I missed the first part of this, but Einaudi is streaming a live performance of pieces from Elements on YouTube right now:

Dang... it's over now. Hopefully they'll put the whole thing up on YouTube for re-watching soon. I'll post the link if I can find it later.

Okay, here's a hopefully permanent link to a YouTube video of the 45 minute-long "Elements of Elements" teaser:
