I am looking for a used piano for my kid, who is going to have music class this fall. The one I am considering is a Young Chang piano under name of pramberger. JP -48, made in S. Korean in around 2002-2003. The piano was tuner every year till 2 years ago. The owner asked for $1800. May I have you opinion on it? Is it worth buying? I know that Yamaha and kawai are more popular in the market. How is pramberger piano's reputation compared to them?
Thank you so much in advance!!!!

Although I do not have any first-hand knowledge of the YC Pramburger model you are referring to, I have heard only good things about the YC Pramburger models. I think Samick has the Pramberger name now.
Also, the prices does not seem out of reason. However, it would be worth having a piano tech inspect the piano before you buy it.
Good luck!!

Thank you Rick! I have no idea of the difference between YC pramberger and Samick. The owner indicate that the YC JP is better. But I just need to get more opinion. Is it a good beginner's piano?

Their best 48" upright.
An excellent piano at a VERY good price.
This piano is far better than a "beginner piano".

The Pramberger JP-48 built by Young Chang in 2002-2003 is a good piano - almost comparable to the best Yamaha and Kawai uprights being built at the same time. The price is also very good. This video of one (same vintage) is fun....... https://youtu.be/qJgrWpqNRLo

Apparently the piano in the video has a PianoDisc player system - which is definitely an "add-on" and would cost MUCH MUCH more than what you'd pay for the piano itself.
