I would like to start playing some Rach but am I ready for those big stretches? My left hand is slightly longer than the right hand. http://imgur.com/a/3AD5x

No, you are not ready - Rach's hands easily stretched to 12ths.

Hang on, my hands only stretch to 9ths and I've been playing Rach since I was in short pants. What the ........?? wink

That hand span!!! If only I could go past a 9th... but then my hands would be disproportionately large and I'd probably look like a gorilla.

(Go play some Rach!)

I can only do an octave and I manage to play Rachmaninoff anyways!

Go for it! He has a lot of 10ths chords, but not many bigger than that. You should have no problem.
