Kevin,
The answer is... maybe. Any tipping on the lyre is not what the manufacturer had in mind - and I don't know of any who approve of the action. True, you might not notice the effect immediately. You might not notice it ever. But then again you might.
I know you are not dealing with Cunningham, because we don't do this.
I guess it is up to you. Do what makes you feel comfortable. Good luck and happy piano!

How does it fit through doors?
I watched a Fazioli 308 being moved a few days ago. I cannot remember the details, but it was moved on its side, and there was no fancy equipment for tilting it.

Just for the record, since it was my delivery being seen in the first pic... When I was purchasing the piano, I 'did' strongly[/b] request that the piano 'not be tipped on the lyre' during setup, and almost freaked out when I saw what was going to happen. But then it was done and overwith in 3 seconds by two big delivery hunks and the store mgr! They surely seemed to know what they were doing and things looked AOK. Hopefully all is still well. How and when would we know if there was a problem (not that I am expecting one)? LL
