Copake Full Member C Joined: Jan 2008 Posts: 275 Columbia/Westchester Counties ...	I heard him play the same program a few days earlier at Union College in Schenectady, New York. I am not very familiar with the Prokofiev sonatas so I was very pleased to hear four of them on this program. Other works on the program were Schumann's Arabesque and Faschingsschwank aus Wien. The Prokofiev sonatas seem to demand very powerful, muscular playing which Bronfman certainly delivered. You can see in the photograph that accompanies the Times review that Bronfman's elbows are higher than the keyboard. Is this how he achieves the powerful sound he manages to create?
