I think the PX-150 is a great little practice instrument. So far, it has handled hard playing quite well. The sound in this video is straight from the piano speakers, recorded on an iPhone camera, so bear with me...
I also have the PX-350, which I use on gigs, solo or with bands. That is a monster keyboard. Never thought I'd fall for Casio, after playing Rolands for years and years.

That's great inspiring stuff, Dr Bekken. The Casio's fine, too. Do you like the action? Does the action like you? wink

px160 is a worthy upgrade, especially at the same price.

At the same price there is no doubt. The thing is that here un Europe px150 is 180€ cheaper than px160.
450€ vs 630€. Actually I could get a px350 for that money. How much px160 is tagged in your place?

Thanks for the nice comments! The action of the PX-150 (and the PX-350) is good as far as I'm concerned. The instruments have been on sale several places here in Norway it seems, due to the launch of the upgraded 160 and 360 PX models. The new PX-560 and the PX-5S may also contribute to the price loss. So, when my ancient Roland FP-5 started to sound like a percussion section - the keys are all almost broken - I went out and got those two keyboards as replacements. Two instead of one...at a lower price than the FP-50, the FP-80...not to mention the RD series. How long the Casios will withstand the way I sometimes play them remains to be seen. I like them, though.
And James; I don't have a PhD or a medical degree, but I have two MAs...Music and English, and I am an Assistant Professor of Music at Sør-Trøndelag University College in Trondheim, Norway....in addition to plenty gigging...
