Dear friends:
Hope you all have a wonderful celebration and, if possible, surrounded by loving family.
Thinking of you, remembering Marty, and giving thanks for "the ties of love that bind us, giving dignity, meaning and worth to all our days."

Happy Thanksgiving to you and yours as well, Karl!

Excerpts from a Thanksgiving poem I wrote...

One more thing, if I may implore
Giving thanks is not a chore
But a way to honor God, Country and more

Wishing you all the best!

I am thankful for those I love, those I like, my health while it lasts but most of all I am thankful for the gift of music.

Happy Thanksgiving, and whatever Tiny Tim would have said for Thanksgiving had Dickens written "A Turkey Tale." 😂

Happy Thanksgiving to everyone. This is a great forum; and thanks to all our great members for all the sincere and inspiring posts.

Now back to the piano. I have a lot of calories to work off.

Enjoy

From memory doesn't a turkey feature in the final stages of "Christmas Carol"?

You are correct, sir! Scrooge calls out to a boy in the street, and sends him to buy the "prize turkey," intending to send it to the Cratchit house.

Yesterday I roasted an 18 pound turkey, and it was good. But, even better, today I had a leftover turkey sandwich! Good bread, slathered in mayonnaise, salt and pepper, and, of course, turkey. Man, it was good...

It was a nice day. Good food and a few good friends were with us. Sometimes the leftovers are the best part though. laugh

After a few days, the sandwiches were a little monotonous, so I switched to open-face sandwiches slathered in gravy for a couple days! wink
Anyway, the turkey's gone, so now I'm working my way through the ham. laugh
