OP SheetMusicLover Junior Member S Joined: Jan 2016 Posts: 1	Has anyone found any really good programs or apps for automatically transcribing music? Students seem to have more motivation to practice when they have sheet music for songs they like. I tried AnthemScore (lunaverus.com) and it works pretty well for simple songs, but not so well on popular rock. Last edited by SheetMusicLover; 01/13/16 08:01 PM.

iLaw 500 Post Club Member I Joined: Jan 2010 Posts: 824 Chicago	You're missing a teaching opportunity here. Write out a lead sheet; just melody and chords. Then talk about how a single pianist, on an acoustic piano, with just a lead sheet, can try to convincingly convey the feeling that a recording studio may have devoted dozens of tracks to. The result will be students who can get outside the sheet music when it's called for. That's my approach. Larry.
