I'm sure this question comes up often so apologies in advance. I have an el-cheapo Korg (SP-170S) for practicing in the middle of the night so I don't wake my housemates (I'd prefer to play on my acoustic but they wouldn't....) and it's absolutely fine for technical work, baroque, or anything that doesn't require a sustain pedal.

The pedal that comes with the Korg is pretty much entirely useless. Does anyone know of a decent sustain pedal that I could replace the default with, and how I'd go about purchasing?

There's no good music shops where I live so I'd have to order online and have it delivered (to Australia).

Thanks in advance.
Cathryn.

M-Audio SP-2. It's heavy, feels roughly like an acoustic piano pedal, and it's inexpensive.

It's an "on/off" switch, no half-pedalling. There's a switch to go from "normally open" to "normally closed", so it'll work with any DP.

What about Korg DS-1H? It should work with your DP.
I think it feels pretty good for a single pedal, and it supports half pedalling.

You can also try the kurzweil kp2 pedal. It has negative polarity which korg uses for their keyboards

Thanks Mechanism, Siros, Charles, I will look into these options and see how I go. I really appreciate your time in responding. Thanks again!
