Check out a short fugue (the first) I composed. Feedback and advise on how to improve the piece is appreciated

I enjoyed listening to your short fugue. It's very nice. However, I find the whole concept of a fugue very daunting and have never tried it myself. It seems as though a simplest fugue would be to settle on a particular chord structure and then compose parts as a round or rondo, with each new part beginning at the beginning of a bar and the beginning of the chord progression. However, it seems like Bach (and I'm sure others) composed fugues in which the new voices sometimes started mid-bar (of a previous voice) or partway through a chord progression/structure, and this idea seems immensely difficult to me.

At any rate, very nice fugue! Thanks for posting the link to the YouTube video. smile

Thanks for your feedback !

As for writing a fugue, it is not really difficult if you focus on each voice at a time. For my part, ideas just came, I didn't struggle much to find other voices.

I intend to continue the fugue and develop it with a major section (of course finishing in c minor)

Again, thx for commenting
