So if the takeover happens will this result in a price hike in old Schimnels,on the used market, which will then be known as Pre-Pearl River? Just like Fender guitars that got bought by CBS. The Pre CBS guitars are the ones people shell out for.

What happened with Schimmel recently is not unlike what happened with Steinberg few years ago.
Or with Grotrian just a while back.

At least these companies will continue to exist.

And how will it affect the market - if at all?

P.S. Who's next?

Is this really a useful, informative discussion or is it just gossip and innuendo?

It smacks of the latter.

I am closing it for the moment. After further review it may be reopened.

Then again, maybe it won't.
