There is some sad, ironic humor in that cartoon, Rich. smile

Especially when you think about that fact that we all have an expiration date; albeit unknown for the most part (except for our maker).

Your cartoon reminds me of another sad, but ironic joke I heard once; a man falls off a building and is pronounced dead on the scene. His wife is there standing over him weeping. Another man says to her "mam, don't cry, things could have been worse". Worse, she exclaims! What do you mean things could have been worse, my husband's dead! Well, the man says, he could have fell on someone else. smile

Irony: (noun) the expression of one's meaning by using language that normally signifies the opposite, typically for humorous or emphatic effect.

I'm an organ donor myself, having given my old Hammond to my daughter...

One of the funniest true stories I ever heard of was related to me by my elder brother. He was dealing with a bankrupt. The bankrupt had only one asset of any value. A large illuminated sign. Before the L.I.S. could be sold there was a storm and it was blown off the wall. It hit an old lady who was underneath it. She was the mother of a prominent barrister.

That just goes to show that when your luck is out, there is little point fighting it!

Considering it's now been three days since I last heard from the woman who agreed to sell me her piano, this is likely the only way a piano will enter my life.

:o))
