Forte OS 1.40 released, highlights include: full synthesis and FX editing, string resonance model (that can be added to any sound) and 16 arpeggiators.

Just loaded it into my unit, looks good, works well and seems very stable. A nice step up from the programmable developer OS I had previously been using. Anyone with questions can feel free to shoot me an email. weiserdav@gmail.com

Over the next two years I'm going to be switching over to Forte for all of the theater shows I work on around the world. (Phantom, Les Mis, Cats, My Fair Lady, etc.)

Pretty impressive update especially for such a small company.

Sounds beautiful! Congrats to Kurzweil on upgrading what is already an amazing keyboard.

Boom. That's nice stuff. I can't tell you how much this technology ads to the realism and overall complexity/richness of tone from a digital piano in solo play.

And don't forget they offer the Forte in different sizes and actions...

88 key fully-weighted hammer-action with velocity and aftertouch sensitive keys (Fatar TP/40L) $3995 US.

A 76 key fully-weighted hammer-action with velocity and aftertouch sensitive keys (Fatar TP/40L) ($500 less)

And an SE version that's $1000 less than the big boy with an 88 key fully-weighted hammer-action with velocity and aftertouch sensitive keys (Fatar TP/100LR)

Actually the MAP price for both Forte and Forte7 is now the same in the US: $3500.

I see that now at said dealer that shares its name with a big cheese company. But a certain dealer whose name brings thoughts of sugary confections has yet to get the memo!

Sargento?

I have the 7. Update totally puts the AP in a league of it's own.
The Sympathetic Resonance resonance is controlled by a mix slider, all the way down, 100% dry to all the way up, 100% effect.

While the resonance effect is dazzling and realistic when used properly, it's also a really cool synthesis tool. I had hours of fun with it cranked up and/or added to non-piano sounds. Perfect for film scoring applications.

I have it set just a bit above half. I didn't know the correct slider initially, default is really low and I was trying the wrong slider. The way the sympathetic resonance's slider works as a mix fader, once I adjusted the correct one, was a surprise.
