Hi there,

Just received my new Casio px860. Loved everything about it specially the sound. The only problem is that some keys (around 5 in total) make a weird noise (scratch-like).

Even with volume at max it's very annoying because now I'm anticipating this noise and pay attention on it every time. I recorded a video comparing two defective keys C and C# with two good keys D and D#:

Is this 'normal'? Should I return it?

Thanks in advance

Casio digitals are known to have noisy keys, some can live with it, some not. However, if certain five keys make more noise than the rest, I would contact the store from which you got it. It was hard to tell from the video, if any keys were extra noisy, since you only pressed a few ones.

Do you know if you have a right to return it, like within 30 days? Then you can return the instrument, get your money back, and don't even have to give a reason. First, check if the store regards your PX860 to be defective, and if they'll offer you a new one, or make necessary arrangements to have it fixed.

Thanks. I believe you can here the noise more easily if using headphones.

No one else had this experience with casio's before?

Might be worth asking on the Casio forums if you're not getting any responses here.
