After considering all of the advice offered on the various threads that I started recently, I made my decision on a new upright piano, based upon the 5 principles of "TTAPS" (Tone, Touch, Appearance, Price, and Service - not necessarily in that order).

I decided on purchasing from my local dealer and chose a new Essex EUP123FL in satin mahogany. I got it for what I consider an excellent price and excellent financing. It includes two tunings within the first year, delivery, and removal of my old piano.

It's scheduled to arrive on Thursday!

Thanks again to everyone who provided answers and input to my many questions!

Congratulations!! The Essex is a lovely piano, and that one in satin mahogany is going to be gorgeous! Pics when it arrives, please!

Congratulations, Bert!

Please post pictures when you can, and maybe even a recording!

My Baldwin R is satin mahogany (I think smile ).

Take care,

Rick

You have brought memories of when my new piano was delivered last month. It was a great feeling. Apart from playing it, I could not help glancing at it every few minutes!

I'm sure you will be very pleased,

Ian
