Good to see this concept getting support from manufacturers. I suppose it may increase their sales figures so is probably worth the investment.

I'll have to pop round this weekend.

I've emptied a few rooms in my time, but emptying St Pancras will be the ultimate challenge! smile

lol - could be an effective means of regulating rush-hour if you can turn up on a weekday between 5 and 6pm.
I can see scuffles breaking out where a dozen or more show-offs are impatient to get on the bench...

Interestingly, the note at the bottom says "the competition runs 4th-29th July".

I am neither promoting the competition or Roland, nor St Pancras, come to that.

The post was simply to demonstrate public pianos are attracting manufacturer interest, although it does seem oldmancoyote read it somewhat better! ahem

Yeah I hadn't noticed the competition date either, just thought setting these up in stations seems a fun idea.

The old ones at St. Pancras (acoustics) were quite fun to listen to; much more variable than a box of chocolates. With the digitals, at least one element of variability will be reduced - though I hope they are of a tough constitution, because those poor pianos didn't have an easy life.

That Roland didnt look too impressive with a big guy at the helm. ..and the music d be too low for him to read!
