I know this has been discussed here, but my search didn't bring up the info I thought I'd find.

What scanning apps do you use? Is there one that you use for music and also for documents? I don't mind if it's free or not (as long as not-free is under $5 or so).

I'd like one to use for both scores and work docs, any recommendations appreciated!!

I use the Darkroom function in ForScore. You take pictures of the music, arrange pages and crop if needed, and you're done! You can also import photos and screenshots that are already in your camera roll.

I use "Genius Scan". I've been using it for several years. It does the job.

Thanks for the recommendations Sinophilia and Sara.

I also received recommendations of Scanner Pro, and Scannable (which works with Evernote fyi).

Oh, and if you have forScore, you can use the scanning function in that app (which I didn't know!)

I decided to try Scanner Pro, it's $4. (there's also a free version, but you can't actually send the scan you make, which is silly).

Hopefully this thread will be useful to someone else in the future as well.

+1.
I use the free version - the ads are unobtrusive. And it allows for very easy transfer of files to forScore.
