Hello,

this afternoon I visited a piano dealer in my town that has two used Schimmel upright pianos on sale.
They both sound excellent, they have both Renner action (keybed feel is the same) and they look like new; one is 116 cm high and the other one is 130 cm high.

The 116 cm was made in 1979 and it's like this one (but mahogany color)

The 130 cm was made in 1989 and it's like this:

The dealer will pick up my old Rosler Rigoletto and for the Schimmels I'd pay:

- €3000 for the 116 cm upright
or
- €4500 for the 130 cm one

transport and warranty included.

What do you think? Are these appropriate prices?

I think that the only way to determine whether or not these are appropriate prices is to check with other dealers in Italy and the European Union who sell Schimmel and compare their prices on similar vintage Schimmels with this dealer's prices.

Regards,

I checked on the web and the price, for the 116 cm upright, varies from €3900 to €3100 (all private classified advertisements, so no transport,no warranty and I don't know the condition of the pianos).
