It's three years since I recorded this--sometimes it takes that long before I can bear to listen back to something--but this one turned out better than I remember. Thanks for any feedback or suggestions you can offer.

You produce a very beautiful, warm rich tone throughout, and use rubato very expressively without sacrificing forward movement. Your performance was truly captivating, but I felt like the melodic line was sometimes discontinuous; you sometimes had unnatural pauses in the primary melody, usually during a moment where the texture was thicker or you had to play more difficult triplets in an outer voice; I think your performance would benefit from you constantly singing the melody in your mind while playing it, and simply listening to the accompanying voices which should effectively be on autopilot.

Thanks for listening so carefully! I'll have to go back now and pay attention to where I'm slowing down :-)

Your Rachmaninoff has a warm, rich sound, I like it! As CCM Stephen wrote, the melody could "sing" more independently sometimes. it's not always a question of slowing down, but also of abbreviating sometimes, for example after 3:12 – but these are minor remarks, the overall impression is excellent!
