How much do you think you should pay for a Yamaha P22 (2012) that is in very good shape. Only one owner for this time period and she has hardly played it. Owner is selling as she is no longer taking lessons and not interested in playing piano. Is $4800 a fair price?

no expert on yamaha prices, but that number seems very close to what a brand new p22 would sell for back in '12 -- does yamaha now consider itself steinway-like, that their pianos (including console/studio verticals) appreciate rather than depreciate over time ?

No. That's about what they would have paid for it new in 2012 in most US markets, with a new piano warranty. At $4,000 or under, if it had just been tuned and you liked the touch and tone, then I'd be more interested.
