I'm upgrading my system's drives; Window 10, 1tb raid to 2tb raid. Same PC, just upgrading the drive hardware. I plan on just using the sysetm's backup feature to make a "Image" and then restore it to the new drives.. will this have any impact of the licensing? Is it a transparent change or is there something I should do before hand? like release the licenses first and then reapply once the system is restored to the new drive?

Please advise, if anyone has done this before.
Thanks.

if it's an image it will work even if you are using one on those instruments that have ilok licence linked to a pc rather than stored into a dongle

Thanks.

All the instruments are on the PC with the licenses through the iLok software, no dongle.

IIRC, about a year ago, I upgraded my computer's hard drive to an SSD. I had the hard drive's entire contents cloned onto the SSD, and everything transferred over fine - including any VSTs that required the iLok (NOT the dongle).

I hope this helps.

RE:

Reporting upgrade successful. No issues with the licenses.

Thanks for the replies.
