Itâ€™s understand how music is made, how itâ€™s put together If I understand that right, she says that you need to play it as the composer put it together, instead of making it your own? Is this a kind of purist approach? Or is there something else behind it?

I had the good fortune to get to know Jeanne some decades ago when I lived in the SF Bay Area, and she is so inspiring. i'm so happy she had this interview. Such a sensitive musician. Also she owns a vintage (c. 1908) Mason & Hamlin concert grand that blows me away. Inspired me to look at Masons when I went piano shopping, and I ultimately bought a vintage one too.
