Since the RD-800 is now 3 years old - here is hoping the new RD is announced at NAMM in just a few hours.

I just sent a Facebook message to one of the owners of a Philadelphia piano store who is at NAMM. I asked him if he happened to walk by the Roland exhibit if he would ask if there were an update \ upgrade for Roland's top of the line stage piano, the RD800. It's a wide piano, 1412 mm.
It will be a tight fit in my flight case.
Now what do I do? Do I buy a RD800 in perfect condition for €1300 or do I go all out and spend probably more than €2000 for the RD2000?
I have to think about this.

That's a pretty good price for the RD-800....maybe you can talk him down to 1200 now that the RD-2000 is announced?

The RD-2000 is $2,499 in the U.S.

Nice. Looks like Roland had everyone drop the price of the RD-800 recently to make room for the RD-2000, because the RD-800 used to cost $2499 in the US up until very recently.
