Hi!
In your walking basslines do you care much about them chord extension or is that more a RH chord issue that isn't working for a walking bassline?
I personally do not like to care about 11ths and 13ths in the bassline since such thinking does't help with getting the walking feel.
What are your thoughts?
Have you ever done walking bass but in a classical style or was that out of question?

In the left hand there is no chord extensions, just walking from root to the fifth, from a fifth to the root upwards and downwards - through passing diatonic and leading chromatic notes.

Two-feel basslines are root to fifth. Walking basslines tend to use the chordscale of the moment with passing tones. For example, a walking bassline on a four measure ii-V-I in C major (one measure of D-7/one measure of G7/ two measures of Cmaj7) may be something like this (in quarter notes):

d-e-f-f#-g-a-a#-b-c-b-a-g-f-e-d-db-repeat

Feel free to email me with questions.
