Hi!

I am looking for an upright piano. My budget is up to 4000$. I have been looking for a while to the pianos in the market in the Quebec City area and this are the ones in the pre-selection list:
- Young Chang E101 fom 1993 --> 2300$
- Kawai K2 new --> 3700$
- Kawai CE7 used (I do not know the year) --> 3500$
- Kawai CX5 used (dont know the year) --> 4000$

Which one would you recommend?

Thnaks a lot for your help!
Sonia.

The prices seem quite high, except maybe the K2. The Ce7 is a lot better design than the CX5 but the condition could alter their price relationship a bit.
In this price range, I'd keep looking.
Good luck

John, which one do you think is better piano, the CE7 or the K2? Is Young Chang E101 any good?

The K2 is new. Any used piano has to stand on it's own merit. Get a tech to check out the pianos. Used pianos are only worth their condition.

Sonia, I was looking back over your first entry, 'what is a pre-selection' list?

John,

By pre-selection just meant that it is the list of pianos that I found in the shops in my area that I liked or that were within the budget....

I also saw a Kawai K-15. Is it any good?

Thanks!!
