I have an old Story & Clark vertical: 139 inches, serial number 253914. According to the Story & Clark website that means it was manufactured between 1949 and 1956. The cabinet is still in pretty good shape. The tone is somewhat muted. It has a few sticky keys and some other keys make scraping sounds. It can be tuned (I had it tuned a few months ago when I started playing) but now I am ready for a new(er) piano.
Would any dealer be willing to take this piano as a trade in and if so, what could I expect $-wise?

You have a vertical piano that is 11-1/2 feet tall?! It must be the only one of its kind, but you may have difficulty finding a dealer with room for it.

On the other hand, you might want to check your measurement again, no?

Regards (in disbelief),

omg!!!

your sign off is so funny Bruce.. \:D

find out how much it's worth as a trade in.. then try and sell it for more.. then trade it in if you can't sell it on Craig's list or something.
