Is anyone planning to bring a digital camera to the PNW this Saturday at Classical Grands?

We need proof to beat the current people under the piano record. (If Alex's store insurance permits! ;\) )

So what are folks planning to play? (daughter asked -- she has a long list of possibles, but promises 3rd movement of the Waldstein).

Alex -- you'll need to tell her which piano has an action soft enough that she'll be able to handle the octave glissandos (without getting bloody!( )

Pieces I can play:

Mozart Sonata in A Major K331 Five variations of first movement, Third movement

Bach French Suite #5 Allemande and Gavotte

I'd have to "warm up" the following, since I haven't played them in awhile, but I'm pretty sure I can do it:

Chopin Prelude #4 E Minor

Bortkievich "Venice"

Beethoven "Fur Elise", I'll completely understand if we want to leave this one off. ;\)

A Brahms Intermezzo (opus 118, No. 2) assuming I don't completely chicken out.

Chopstix and Heart & Soul if I do. :p

I'll bring my camera (digital) and the best ability for Mendellshon's Venetian Gondola Song that I can (as well as others, but this is the one that I have been practicing the most lately). I must warn you all though that I don't play as well under pressure. I get too nervous. Even in front of good friends that I've known for years, I shake like a leaf. Anyway, Alex has heard me play before so if I mess up too bad he can confirm whatever ability and/or talent that I do have! \:D

Jgoo - I'm with you, I'm a BASKET CASE when I have to play in front of other folks. My hands shake, and I blank out. Today, I kept messing up in places I have never missed before. Sigh. Alex told me to relax the last time I was in there - this is supposed to be FUN. \:\) Jodi

Bernard, BruceD, and Matt G:

Hey y'all, it's not anyone's fault that folks raised in the blissful paradise of the South (aka. Eden, Elysium, South Carolina, Georgia, Texas, etc.) still have pure, uncorrupted speech.

Y'all take care now, ya hear?!

You can tell me that all you want but it still won't help that much. I have a most terrible stage fright. Hopefully, I will be able to over come it though.

Well, I didn't get much of a chance to look around Classical Grands when I was there today but there are some differences. First off, they have way more pianos in there now than ever before. Also, they walled off that long part of the room behind the desk. In fact, the guy that was there today had just enough time to tell me that the doors that were used came from the old Holman Road Store. So, wheather or not that particular piano is still there or not, I don't know. But, I'm sure that there will be some piano in a corner that we could claim for ourselves, anyway. ;\) \:D
