We hear about shopping at 'such and such' piano store yet don't often see pictures of the store and what out experience is shopping there. I recently posted about shopping at Harl Pianos and Piano Craft, both located close to DC.

HERE:
http://www.pianoworld.com/ubb/ubb/ultimatebb.php?/topic/1/15318.html

I'll share pics below for Harl Pianos and then
on another post I'll add pics for Piano Craft since it seems I can only post 8 pics at a time.

I'll edit and add some commentary if the pics show up OK. Both were very unique shopping experiences and if you are interested in top of the line pianos...you will want to visit!

OK...so I decided that a C Bech Concert Grand will do me just fine! LOL!

In the fourth picture, the Grotrians are on the left. The Sauter announces itself!

and I suppose the fifth picture is the Steinway factory prep department? wink

Sorry to derail the thread-I couldn't resist. Truth is I'll never get to know what would have happened if I went to Cathy Harl's first.

Great pictures, Roberta. I took 3 recent trips to Cathy's, and a couple to Piano Craft as well. Like you, I can highly recommend both!

Of course, prepare to be spoiled if you go to Cathy's - a couple of concert Bechsteins, the larger Grotrians, the Sauters ... just an amazing collection of pianos, and Cathy is a gem to work with.

Thanks for the pictures, Roberta! Harl Piano is a place where it is incredibly easy to spend an entire afternoon, in part because of the incredible pianos and in part because of Cathy's warm hospitality.

That first piano on the left is the Grotrian semi-concert grand I mentioned in your other post, Roberta. Man, that is one sweet piano. So is the big Bechstein concert grand you are sitting at. (Cathy now has two Bechstein concert grands in the store, but not too long ago she had five of them!!)

Steve is right. Harl Pianos has a great selection of instruments and Cathy is a class act.

Thanks for posting your pics, Roberta.

I loved it!

Actually I was trying to take a pic of the beautiful screen in the background...but you can see 'part' of the Grotrian!

Hey Cathy,

Where is the "closing room" with the flickering light bulb and dripping water?
