Does anyone know about rubinstein piano? i met one in a piano warehouse. It is pretty old, but it still sounds ok. I've asked my dad and he said when he was young(which is about 50 years ago), it is a famous piano brand name.

But i've searched on the internet and not much infomation found. Is it made in Germany? As it is showed on the piano i saw today.

Use the search function of this forum with the correct spelling "Rubenstein" and you will find multiple discussions about this brand.

I don't think cho is referring to the 12'2'' behemoth...but I guess he could be.

That is a different company. The Rubenstein that Cho is referring to is probably a stencil piano from the pre-1930s era.

That's why I am very confused, because the brand name written on the piano is "RUBINSTEIN" only, but it doesn't has the logo and full name "Anton G. Rubinstein" from the website below

This is really strange, it seems that if the piano i met is really a "RUBINSTEIN" only (without logo), and not Rubenstein, maybe it's a piano brand which had stopped production??

That piano is in poor condition now and the dealer said he will take a month to re-condition it. I think I will go back to it again later and check out more details.

The Rubinstein piano is look like the Sommerfeld piano at the below link
