Hi,
I stumbled across this site http://www.bluebookofpianos.com/Subscriber3925.html Just click on the manufacterer and it will show you the retail price for all their models. Does anyone know id those prices are accurate? It also gives you the manufacturer's info like phone # and address.

For some it just says "average selling price". Could someone check the site out and let me know if its accurate. If it is this thread should be pinned on top so everyone can see and use this website.

Most of them are out of date anyway. Notice that Bechstein isn't included.

Just buy the Fine supplement, bcarvings... it's not that much money wink , and it's the most accurate source we consumers have access to, unless you can sweet-talk a dealer friend into looking at their Ancott's.

Hello there! I think that the pricelist is accurate. Look at the schimmel page and see the price on their newest 280 model.
http://www.bluebookofpianos.com/schimmel.htm Thats new prices...

Yamaha and Pearl River are slightly lower then reality. Prices have risen since that was published but not by much.

Whats really informative is where the piano is made by whom, and which pianos are the same model such as the Petrof and the Weinbach.

Again, you need to check information before passing it on.

The Petrof and Weinbach are different scale designs. Additionally, the Weinbachs are now assembled wholly in China.

My understanding is that some of the earlier Weinbachs were actually made by Petrof, in Petrof factories, but not anymore. This earlier Weinbach is basically a Petrof with a different name on the fallboard (I've played one of these). It has a basic, unpolished cast-iron finish on the plate, where the Petrofs have a high polish and automotive finish that is more expensive to produce. There may be other minor differences, but probably only cosmetic. I'm sure the scale design is different in the Chinese Weinbach (probably a totally different piano all around), but for the Czech-produced Weinbachs, I did not think there was a difference in scale design.

We still have 3 Weinbach grands that were made in the Petrof factory. However, I think they are a different scale design than the Petrofs. I will check it out and re-post.
