Can any expert out there tell me what style defines as? Alot of people say to me you must develop a style normally after 7 years a musician has developed it. Well how can I go about developing a style...does it happen by the kinds of chords I select to play a piece by,etc.

Hi,

I think style means how you play vs what you play. You might follow the markings on a page very carefully or develop your own (within the limits of the period). For example, with Bach, you can sometimes choose what decorations you perfer, or what kind of voicing. Or, with romantic music, you can decide how much rebato you want and things like that. Style is just how you play.
