Hi Everyone,

The piano tuner is coming soon and will tune and voice my yamaha u3. This is the first time I need to pay the tuner. Should I just pay the price he quoted or do I need to tip on top of that?

Hope to get some feedback soon!!

Thanks!

I tip, but from what I've read here, it's optional and usually not expected but appreciated when it happens. Try searching the archives for "tip technician" and see what you find... I know that there's been a couple of threads about it.

Thank you so much for your advice. I also did the search at the forum and it was very helpful as well.

Hmm, I've never even thought about tipping my tuner, Tom Gunderson. He does a fantastic job, makes even my little spinet sound good. I probably should tip him!

I see you're in the twin cities- who's your tuner?
