whose etudes are more fun to play? the czerny schule der gelaufigkeit etudes or the duvernoy etudes?

Duvernoy etudes in general are somewhat more musical than the Czerny etudes. If you can give the opus numbers of each maybe I can answer your question better.

Ok, I assume the 15 etudes op.120 Ecole du Mecanisme by Duvernoy. "These studies have been expressly composed to precede those of Czerny's Velocity" says the Duvernoy edition I have. I personally agree on that and advise you to complete all the op.120 Duvernoy studies and then study some of the ones that you find interesting of the 40 exercises op.299 "School of Velocity Over Piano" by Czerny.
Since these studies are for incresing the speed of the fingers, I suggest starting slowly and increasing the speed by the help of a metronome.
One important thing in playing fast is that your fingers should always be in a relaxed state. The moment you feel any sore in your fingers, wrists, arm etc. you must quit practicing immediately.
