I have been a lurker on this board for some time but haven’t had the courage to join in until now. I have learned a great deal and appreciate everyone’s input. I have been playing the piano for about two years now. My first piano purchase was before I knew about this forum and it was a Young & Chang Pramberger PG-150. I suppose one could consider it a PSO. While that piano did serve its purpose for a few years I decided it was time to upgrade. I recently took delivery of a Mason & Hamlin BB that I bought from Art at Artistic Pianos in Encinitas, CA. Needless to say I am ecstatic with this purchase. Everyone’s input here was very useful even though I didn’t pose any direct questions.
Also, thanks to Andrew G., I bought the Great Pianist of the 20th Century at your suggestion at an unbelievable price. It’s a great set that I listen to all the time.

Hi Robert!
You're most welcome. I met Art in his shop and tried some of the magnificent pianos there this past early summer. I also met Joy and Max. I even played on a S&P which was already sold to one of the ladies on this forum. What an experience!
Yes, the GPTTC is a good piano CD set. Did you get it at Berkshire also?
Congrats on your BB! When you own a BB you probably will never want another piano in your life unless you want to play two-piano music...

Andrew,
Yes I bought it through the Berkshire Record Outlet. I told my piano teacher and a few other students and they were very interested but when we checked back to the Berkshire Site they were already sold out. I feel very luckly to have gotten mine in time!
Thanks,
Robert

Robert,
Check out the Brilliant Classics label on Berkshire. I recently purchased dozens of its CDs that includes Brahms Complete Chamber Music spread across 12 CDs. I couldn't be happier! This label carries some real neat stuff. You might want to give it a chance. At $1.99 a pop you don't have much to lose...
