This thread was prompted by a comment made by FLORHOF in the Bach Inventions thread to which I would like to make a more general statement.

For the most part, I lurk around these parts, gleaning valuable information from the comments made here. It is most appreciated.

In addition, the near lack of hostility to points of view here is in sharp contrast to the Piano Forum. This is very much appreciated.
